Yet ANOTHER new blog that will probably get ignored after about three posts
As I approach my 29th birthday, I find myself in an odd place in my life, trying to find my place in the world as a Christian, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a geek, a goth, a romantic, a cynic, a Libertarian, an American, a traditional feminist, an environmentalist, a philosopher, and a human. We live in a day and age where attention spans are all but non-existent, and mine is just another casualty of the world of social media, OCD-inducing notifications, and crippling FOMO anxiety - a condition I am keen to escape. So here I am, writing a somewhat secret blog because I hate to feel like I'm wasting a good journal on this drivel, hoping to sort through all of my questions, unresolved issues, musings, and rants, in order to come to a better understanding of who I am, who I want to be, and how to bridge the gap between the two. My hope is that this exercise will become a regular habit and help mend my shattered attention span as well as my sense of intellectualism and motivation to change the direction of my life. No promises, but then, nobody should actually be reading this anyway.
